Trials of Tajss is the second young adult short story in the Children of Tajss series. It features a first mission beyond the City, alien-desert exploration, tests of courage, a deepening friendship, mysterious connections to the planet, and the next generation beginning to discover its place in the future of Tajss.

This is a young adult short story, not a full novel or novella. It is a spin-off from the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series and takes place around the events of Book Eight.
