Heirs of Tajss - Children of Tajss Book One
They weren’t supposed to be here. But the call of adventure is too strong.
Illadon and Rverre know they shouldn’t stray too far, but the ruins of Draconov promise secrets too tempting to resist. Slipping away from their caretaker, they set off on what should be a harmless adventure—until Rverre’s visions whisper warnings of danger.
Tajss speaks to Rverre in fragments, guiding them without guarantees. Illadon charges ahead, unwilling to turn from the promise of glory. But some secrets are meant to stay buried, and what they awaken may not let them leave.
Will they prove themselves heirs of Tajss—or become lost to its past?
The past is waiting to be remembered.
NOTE: This is a Young Adult short story, not a full novel or novella. It is a spin-off from the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss and takes place around the events of Book #8 in the series.

absolutely loved this series, read all 35 waiting for the next portion, can't wait
I loved reading this story starring Illadon and Rverre. They've been mentioned in Red Planet of Tajss romances often enough that I knew a bit about them before I read this book. I loved reading about one of their childhood adventures, though I would've enjoyed reading a longer story. Miranda gave so many hints about their future that I can't wait to read a series set in the Tajss's future when the heirs are adults and their discovery is brought to light.
Thought it was cute with the kids. He was like his dad, he has the protection gene. The only thing is he doesn’t have is the experience of his dad. They are too young to be going after something that isn’t safe. And they should not keep secrets from the adults. I can see something happening between the kids when they are older.
An interesting story. Kids are typical of their parents. Can’t wait to see what happens after having found the remains in the chair.
I enjoyed this short story featuring the children of my favorite characters. I'm looking forward to find out more.
