Draconian Warriors Book 1 - Alien Warrior's Captive Bride

I liked this book, but like the first show in a TV series, I wasn't into it immediately. Once I got past the first few chapters, I was completely immersed and didn't want to put it down long enough to do any chores, so dinner was late. Several of the captive women were smart and courageous- especially Hope. I recommend this book for anyone who wants some meat along with their happy endings.

If you are just starting this series I think you should start with book 4 then come back to 1-3. I read them in order and stumbling into a prequel was confusing. It did clarify somethings Hope said.We are given a look at Draconians a few years after book 4, but still in their origin galaxy. This is how Hope was able to so easily step into the role a Queen and help Larok and his family.

I got this book for 99 cents. I was surprised how well it used science fiction with romance. You get both here. For anyone wanting steamy from cover to cover this not it. Recommend for people who actually want character development. Will buy more.

Larok is used to abusive queens, but has heard rumors of another place in the universe where the queens are very different.Hope is familiar with a lot of what Larok's people have been through, and is eager to help them (and receive their help) to get back to her part of the universe. This means many of the males on the ships get a crash course in what different species of women are like, with both incredibly sweet and comedic results!Hope and Larok's interactions are always sweet; he defers to her, but she treats him as her equal and is helpful in his journey to seeing himself as her equal. And there's a baby dragonling!

Book 1 of Draconian Warriors sets the stage nicely for future books while still giving us a happily ever after. After rescuing Hope, Larok can’t believe how different she is from the Queens their people are used to. Does he dare to believe all his hopes and dreams could come true? Queen Hope seems to be just what the Draconian Warriors need to turn things around… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

Women who stand up for what is right , taking the initiative in romance , in war , and in making sure of a happy ending . Don't forget the perfect males ! What more could you ask for !

A wonderfully simple love story with mild suspense and danger with all the mishaps that come with two very different cultures. HEA is definitely implied

The sci-fi aspects of this book are very interesting. Unfortunately the dialog between the characters needs work. The narrators for the audible version need a lot of coaching also. Not my best purchase.

This is a new author for me, but I loved this book. While reading the story, you also get info on the history of the characters. Oddly enough, one of the things I like most was the Glossary in the back!!I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series!! ❤

I think the idea was a nice one, but the dialogue was soooo low. The warriors sounded so dumb and Hope…. Oh boy. Just not my cup of tea. I finished bc I was trying to see what all the good reviews were about….. won’t be reading more.

This book was slightly different from my norm,but definitely enjoyed the story and characters. It was entertaining and couldn't put it down.

This is my second time reading this book don't know why I didn't review it. It's a great start to a series. Hope turn out to be a wonderful leader. So enjoy!

I love the story. It was nice to have a different spin on an Alien romance plot and their bodies. My one suggestion would be to have someone edit the book for all the typos there are. There are alot of misplaced or swapped words.All in all I really enjoyed this book and I would read the others in the series.

Wow, Holy smoke! I didn't expect this plot and storyline, I became hooked pretty quick. What and experience, and the dialogue did have lot of chuckles included. The sexy bits melts butter. I cannot wait to read the whole series.👏🔥🆒

The story is not bad but there are numerous errors. Proofreading could fix all of this. This is the story of Larok and Hope. She’s put on an escape pod by a tentacled alien, who was angry with her. She and her friends had been stolen by the tentacled aliens. She and her friends were intended as brides for some aliens. They were leaving earth because it had become inhabitable. Anyway, Larok finds her pod and brings her onboard his ship which had been running perimeter checks and such. There is an instant attraction. He studies her English speech and has his computer run a deciphering program so they can understand one another. The Draconians are governed by a queen who is vicious. Hope becomes a queen who governs them. But, there’s a lot of story before and after that. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers.

I gotta say I appreciate it when an author includes a glossary. Seeing that made me want to read this book more than anything.

The book is funny, romantic, exciting, sexy & pure fantasy. The characters are charismatic, sexy, loyal & intelligent. All in all a good read.

Really good writing. Read others in the same universe. Loved the characters and plot. It had equal parts story and romance. Note: while the males are warriors, contrary to the cover, they are not backwards or barbaric. 😸

Well this one is a little different. The change in ruling was enjoyable. In the beginning of the book it dragged somewhat.

Interesting story of human brides being taken to marry aliens. Hope is jettisoned off the ship for being antagonistic to her captors. She is rescued by a Draconian warrior. He is part of a society of warriors who obey the Queen. The Queen is cruel with her rule is all. Warriors have no choice in their lives

The storyline and characters were excellent. It was action packed and romantic with sexy scenes. Kudos to the author. I can't wait to see the next book. Highly recommend.😉

Excellent character development and growth. World and ship building was average. A great read. Definitely worth the time. Read this book or you will be missing out on a great story.

I'm glad I found this series! Easy to follow story and great characters. Humorous human women and strong supportive alien dragon men. Can't wait to read the next one.

I like this Alien bride and warrior book.A warrior just cannot believe his luck when he rescues a human queen. A queen who is not all about herself. A queen who wants to save other brides and help the warriors get a better life.There is a strong female lead which finally takes charge and joins with a hottie. Both characters grow into their own in this telling.I received this book as a free ARC introduction to this author. I am looking forward to reading more.

This review covers this entire series of books. I liked the storylines. The characters, for the most part, were engaging, and the back stories of both alien and human were enough to pull you in and make you want to root for them. I'm a sucker for the Earth-is-dying-need help! genre, so these were right up my alley. The first book was actually one of my least favorite, as the h was a Mary Sue, one of those people who has no flaws, so everything magically falls into place for her, and then she keeps acting so amazed that she's good at everything. Glad I gave the next one a chance, as book two definitely had more believable action and drama, and none of the other ones had a character as bad as that first one. I obviously liked them, as I read all ten currently in the series.What I didn't like? Author needs an editor badly. Many, many sentences in all ten books have missing words, used the wrong word, or had words that were misspelled. One of the groups of aliens (can't remember exactly; House of ???) added an extra letter to their house name in the next book, then took it away again. The mistakes took me out of the story over and over again. Author makes easy-to-check mistakes like saying 20 klicks (kilometers) is more than 30 miles. Uh, no. More like 12.4 miles. The cover photos are all of the same guy with long, white hair, yet only one of the heroes had hair at all. The guys are all obsessed with having children. By the tenth novel, (SPOILER!) we're talking eight between his hatchlings and her babies, all hatched/born at the same time. It was kind of odd that none of the women said, "Hey, can we maybe wait a month or two and enjoy getting to know each other before adding additional family members into the mix?" And in some instances, the women were interchangeable, using the same expressions, same pet names for their guys, exact same sex scenes. I kept telling myself it would be hard to write ten books about ten different women and have them be entirely different, but It still got old and made me skip pages.Anyway, my opinion is that these are good stories that need editing (not only grammar, spelling, and continuity, but also to help the author make one novel distinctive enough from the next). Your call if you think you can overlook the editing issues to enjoy the books.

I like how she eventually took charge and helpedthem to understand they deserve to be free.Glad that Cassandra and Hope could worktogether.

This new universe has the Earth ruined by pollution, causing the women to volunteer to be alien brides in order to escape the planet. The aliens exist under a peaceful agreement on Earth’s side of the universe. The far side of the universe is less friendly. Hope is on her way to her alien mate’s planet when her ship is attacked and all of the women on board are captured. They are abused and taken to the far universe. Zarok, a Draconian on the far side, notices the new ship appear and an escape pod is dispatched. He grabs the pod and finds Hope. All women to these Draconians are queens. All the queens on this side of the universe are cruel and cannot be with any other women. They mistreat the men, who all take their abuse for some reason.>Hope treats Larok with kindness. She shows him true love and leads his people to freedom. I love the scenes where the Draconians are surprised by the kindness shown them. I disliked the slang the women used to speak to the Draconians. Knowing a race of people can’t understand you, why would you use the phrase “It’s not my first rodeo”?>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. I wish Zarok would behave a bit more alpha and less as a submissive.
