CONTINUE THE SURVIVOR BRIDES OF TAJSS SERIES
Everyone else believes the alien warrior they lost is gone. I refuse to abandon him twice.
He was left behind.
At least, that’s what he believes.
When I join the mission to bring him home, I expect to find a soldier waiting for rescue.
I don’t expect the quiet fury burning in his eyes.
I don’t expect the distance he keeps between us or the way he watches me as though I’m something fragile he has no right to touch.
The others say he has changed.
They call him dangerous.
Forsaken.
I call him alive.
Whatever happened while he was alone has left wounds no one can see. He trusts no promise, questions every kindness, and no longer believes anyone truly came back for him.
But I didn’t cross Tajss to turn around the moment saving him became difficult.
The warrior beneath the anger is still there.
I see him every time he places himself between me and danger. Every time he chooses restraint when fury would be easier. Every time his guarded gaze reveals how desperately he wants the connection he refuses to claim.
He believes the people he trusted abandoned him.
He believes whatever changed inside him makes him unworthy of returning.
Most of all, he believes I’ll leave too.
He’s wrong.
The journey home forces us closer than either of us planned. Every mile strips away another defense, exposing the loneliness beneath his rage and the desire neither of us can continue denying.
The others may have given up on him.
I won’t.
Because bringing him back is no longer only a mission.
It’s a promise.
And I’m not walking away from the alien warrior who has already survived being left behind once.

Oh the joy of seeing these two getting mad at each other because they couldn't automatically know what they were meaning. Oh the hilarity of it.
The story is around the teenage hybrids who are trying to find out what the planet wants/is leading them to do. Their teacher and an “orc” are leading the expedition. They end up finding a group of Zmaj and humans who are just barely surviving and are not even mixing in any interpersonal relationships. The groups need each other. Excellent story and reading it was very interesting and entertaining.
To repetative in the storyline
