An enemy alien crashed into my desert carrying the one warning my people cannot ignore: the galaxy knows Tajss survived.
Rhazek arrives bleeding, dangerous, and wrapped in secrets.
I should hate him.
He came from Krix, a world built on slavers, arenas, and chains. His arrival brings danger to our gates, and he may be the reason off-world hunters can find Tajss, the power hidden beneath our City, and the fated bonds they would kill to possess.
But Rhazek is not Krixian.
He is Voraxxian.
A gladiator survivor sold into captivity, forged into a weapon, and marked by enemies who never stopped hunting him.
No one in the City trusts him.
I’m not sure I do either.
But when Rhazek’s warning reveals a threat larger than anything we have faced before, I’m forced to work beside the one male everyone believes could destroy us.
Every argument sparks.
Every touch burns.
Every moment trapped together makes it harder to remember which side he is supposed to be on.
Rhazek is dangerous, secretive, and far too skilled at slipping beneath my defenses. Behind the warrior shaped by blood and captivity is a male who knows exactly what it means to survive without freedom.
The more I learn about him, the less certain I become that he is our enemy.
And the more impossible it becomes to deny the connection growing between us.
Rhazek may be my enemy.
He may also be my mate.
Falling for him could expose Tajss to the galaxy, lead our enemies directly to the survivors, and place every fated bond on the planet within their reach.
But the stars are already watching.
And my traitorous heart is listening to him anyway.

This is yet another amazing book set on the Red Planet of Tajss by Miranda Martin. The Bride of __ book series is the latest series in the exciting adventure that began when a generational ship from Earth crash-landed on Tajss in Martin’s book Dragon’s Baby. When an alien ship crashes near their city On Tajss, Rosalind sends an expedition led by Kessa to investigate. They find a survivor, Rhazek, who has a message for Rosalind, sent by an ally she made while enslaved in the series Gladiators of Krix (another must-read!). Though Kessa doesn’t trust Rhazek, there’s just something about him that she can’t ignore. This slow-burn enemy-to-lovers story pulls together the puzzling, frightening warning signs in the first 5 books of this series, bringing it to an exciting conclusion. The best part is that it’s obvious that Martin isn’t finished writing her Red Planet of Tajss books. I can’t wait to read her next story!
It is hard not to love this series. This last one was as enjoyable as the first one I read soooo many years ago.
