She erased her past to survive.
He erased his humanity to stop her.
Now they’re each other’s only chance.
Cersei paid a fortune to have her memories wiped. Whatever she was before—assassin, covert operative, weapon—needed to stay buried. But when someone hacks the mind-wipe, fractured memories bleed through… and they’re violent enough to prove she was right to run from herself.
Someone wants her past restored.
Someone powerful.
And without her memories, Cersei doesn’t know who to trust.
Especially not the cyborg watching her every move.
Holden is more machine than man, bound by the Code he helped build after sacrificing his own humanity. When his stolen tech resurfaces, it leads him straight to his greatest failure—the deadly psi-ops agent he hunted for years and never captured.
The woman in front of him doesn’t remember any of it.
She should be a threat. Instead, she’s vulnerable, hunted, and igniting instincts he thought he’d deleted. Protecting her could shatter the control he rebuilt. Wanting her might destroy him completely.
Because the truth about Cersei isn’t just dangerous.
It’s catastrophic.
And if she remembers who she was…
Holden may have to choose between saving the woman she’s become—or eliminating the weapon she used to be.

I loved to hate the human military leadership. They are great villains! The pre and post cyborg love stories of their leader and his wife were deeply moving. The evil scientist is creepy. The cloned cyborg was unexpectedly sweet and I enjoyed the beginning of their love story. Highly recommended.
